Roosters Have No Respect!

It's five o'clock in the morning, and this goddamn rooster won't quit crowing. I swear, that stupid rooster does it every morning over and over and over for hours! IT'S STILL PITCH BLACK OUTSIDE!
Roosters have no sense of time, and no respect for those who prefer sleeping in on the weekends!
There it goes again. Who around here has a gun? I'm about to hunt this thing down. Or at least put a muzzle on it. Is that possible? Oh well. I don't even know where this rooster could possibly be. What's it doing all the way out here? It's not like I live out in the country - there are houses and buildings everywhere.
That's one lost rooster. Or maybe someone around here has it stuck in a cage or something in their backyard, as sad as that sounds. I bet that's true. My neighbor across the street has several dogs that live in rabbit cages in their backyard! It's so sad. I'm not even sure if they take them out. At least, I've never seen them out of their cage before.
Well, since I'm up I guess I'll start working on my novel for once this week. I hate how all my college research papers are due the same month as NaNoWriMo! And my high school papers are supposed to be written this month too. Crap.

Novel Exerpt

Simon found it hard to sleep that night. The sounds of British soldiers’ boots marching against the cobblestone streets wafted up to his room, through his window, and echoed through the cavernous spaces in his mind. He couldn’t think of anything else besides listening for that unfamiliar call to suit up in a minute’s notice. He could almost hear the shouts of men coming up to his window from the streets below, yelling, hollering, shouting for him and his brothers to grab their shoes and their guns and assemble out on the cold street.
But he laid there for hours, and nothing happened. Simon rolled over on top of his cold sheets, and looked across the room at Julian’s bed that was made noticeable in the moonlight. He continued to stare as his eyes adjusted, until he noticed his brother’s eyes were wide open, and staring right back at him .
They said nothing to each other, still keeping their ears peeled for the shouts of men calling them out for a fight.
Then it happened.
Several men were heard riding on horseback through the streets below. “Grab your guns! The regulars are coming! Wake up! The regulars are coming! They’re on the move!” Shouts, screams, chaos filled the air as every man, woman, and child was awakened from their sleep. Simon and Julian soared from their sheets and grabbed the guns that were so conveniently placed by their beds. They raced to the door with hardly any light in their path. Simon’s heart began to beat out of control, and small beads of perspiration formed on his brow as he was covered in the wet blanket of anxiousness, and almost fright.

The Worst Idea Caroline's Ever Had

Yesterday, my best friend called me up and asked if I wanted to go see Paranormal Activity with her. So, trying to convince myself it's going to be another crappy and poorly-made horror movie, I decided to go.
OH MY GOD. Worst idea ever! I'm swear that I'm scarred for life! I couldn't sleep by myself last night, so I slept with my mom in her bed. Pathetic? I don't think so. That movie is possibly the creepiest movie ever made. God! I don't know how long it's going to take me to get over it, but it's not going to be any time soon. Why did I go to that movie? I should have known better. I mean, come on, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory scares me. Why did I think I could make it through this movie?
Let's just say I'll be sleeping in my mom's room for a while.

I can see the future!

So, I mentioned earlier that I had a dream about Paul Simon driving me around in a new Chevy Aveo. Well, yesterday while me and my mom were out car shopping, there it was! A blue 2008 Chevy Aveo was for sale! So we bought that thing, and I love it! :)
I think this is a sign. Or else I can see the future. Now, the only thing that's missing is Paul Simon singing me songs while he drives around Bardstown.

I can still dream...

shot down.

Last night, I had a dream I was driving down the road with Paul Simon in a brand new blue Chevy Aveo. I woke up and realized I hadn't met Paul Simon, and that I didn't have a new Chevy Aveo.

Depression city.

how we spend our weekends pt. 2

Cody, Amy, and I spent our Friday night in the pouring rain at the skate park sliding down the skate ramps. So.much.fun! We were soaked by the end of the night, but it was so worth it!
I have so many bruises though.
