peace and quiet is rare around here apparently

Five months ago, ever since we've moved into this house, I've noticed that there's the constant sound of a lawn mower running around here. Every day SOMEONE mows their lawn for about 3 hours, and you would think that it would drive me crazy. But for the past two days, nobody has mowed their lawn, and it's dead quiet outside. I'm starting to wonder what the heck happened around here. To be honest, I'm a little freaked out.
